In today's increasingly complex IT environments where systems are spread over various locations or even within the same physical building, security has to be a way of life. That's why we give first priority to the Physical and Logical security aspects of the monitoring process.

Physical security at our Network Operations Centre (NOC) includes 24 x 7 guards, video surveillance, pass-card protected areas, and Infrared motion detectors.

Our key security practices

• Usage of SSH2
• Usage of HTTPS
• Primary firewall using Cisco PIX
• Secondary firewall using IPCHAINS/IPTABLES
• Antivirus on all windows servers

All data transmissions between our NOC and client locations use 56-bit encryption as a minimum standard. In many cases, this encryption, in conjunction with other recommended physical and logical security precautions provides the necessary protection.

However, for clients requiring alternative security options, Optimised Networks have market leading consultative skills in VPN tunnelling, Secure Access via Local and Remote Tivoli Components and gateways as well as Secure Access via Point-to-Point Circuits.
